スエーデン型ストレートキーの製作（通算製作番号No.1443号）

今回も製作の依頼があったのでスエーデン型のストレートキーを製作しました。このタイプでは接点がキーの前方にあり、レバー側には0.8ｍｍ厚の燐青銅板が接点として取り付けてありバネの弾力により打鍵のフィーリングがとても良い感じになります。台座は欅でその底面には6ｍｍ厚の鉄板を取り付けてあるので重量があり机上でとても安定します。部品はほとんどを旋盤やフライス盤で加工した物で鏡面仕上げの後でプライマー処理をしてからクリアーラッカー塗装をしてあるので真鍮の美しい輝きが維持さレます。

This time I was asked to make a straight Key so called Sweden Type Key. On this type of key the contact point is located at the top of the lever and I put a 0.8mm thick phospherus copper plate so this spring reaction made operation feeling very good. I used a zelkova tree for the base plate and put a 6mm thick iron plate so it is very stable on the desk due to uit's heavy weight.Allmost all parts are made by lathe and milling machine. The parts are painted by clear lacquer spray surface treatement therefor the beautiful brass will be maintained for very long time. 

IAMBIC型パドル（Glori-Ann No.1442号）の製作（Making an IAMBIC Type Paddle No.1442）

IAMBIC型Paddle　（通称２枚レバーパドルやエレキー用パドルなど）をまた製作しました。これはレバーを押しているコイルスプリングが左右独立して付いているのでバネのテンションをそれぞれ煮設定する事が出来ます。またダストカバーがアクリルの台座にぴったりと嵌合するようにノギスで計測しながら作っているので打鍵の歳にガタガタするような事は全くありません。イタリア産の大理石に搭載しているのでとても優美な外観に仕上がっています。

I made an IAMBIC Type Paddle it is so called two levered paddle or ele-key paddle.　The levers are pushed by coil spring installed in both side of the levers therefore the spring tension (in this case pushing force) can be adjusted indibidually on each lever side.The dust cover is made very prisicely fitting to the base plate so there is no noise when operating the key. This is a very beautiful key mounted on an Italian marble stone.

複式電鍵（Side Swiper) Prong horn 通算製作番号　No.1441号）が完成しました。

13ｍｍ厚の透明アクリル板の上に構成して、それをイタリア産の高級大理石ビアンコカララ（20ｍｍ厚）の上に搭載しています。この電鍵の最大の特徴はレバーの中点の位置がとても安定していることです。レバーの前方には中点を示すガイドプレートがありその両側に10ｍｍは幅の焼き入れ鋼（板バネ）が付けてあり、そのイタバネを両側からアジャスターが押さえているので、レバーは常に板バネでガイドプレートの中点位置に停止するようになっています。

レバーの接点の両側には0.8ｍｍ厚の燐青銅板がついており打鍵のフィーリング向上と接触抵抗の改善が図られています。

ダストカバーが付いておりこのカバーは太陽光のスペクトルの下ではエッジ部が紫外線に寄ってバイオレット色になります。

非常に優美で打ちやすい電鍵です。

I used a 13mm thick acrylic plate for the base plate and put it on a Italian mable stone made Biankokarara (I'm not sure the spelling of it). The most important point of this key is the neutral point is very stable because the the lever is hold between 2 spring plates which sre suported a newtral point positioner. The lever is suported between those two spring plate. The spring tension can be easily adjusted by sliding the adjust device slideing on the spring as you can see the pictures. There are 0.8mm thick phosphorus bronze plate to reduce contact resitance and also it makes good operating feeling.I made a dust cover which shine violet color under Sun shine condition. This is a very beautiful key.

精魂込めた手作り電鍵 Bug Key No.1440号が完成しました。

今回製作したBug Keyは短点と長点用のレバーがそれぞれ独立しています。Pendulum(振り子）のストッパーは従来の錘にぶつける方式の他にシリコンチューブを斜めに切断した部分に当てる方法で非常に静かな方法も選択出来ます、更に一般的には短点用の接点は通常は柔らかい板バネを使いますが、小さな磁石で制御するリードスイッチ式も切り替えて使う事が出来ます。台座は木目の綺麗な欅材で底面には9ｍｍ厚の鉄板をつけてあるので重量が1.4ｋｇ以上もあり机上でどっしりと安定して操作ができます。

The bug key I made this time has two levers for dot and dash independently. I installed two pendulum stoppers one is the traditional type which uses a weight and the other is sylicon tube type. The sylicon tube type stopper is very quiet comparing with the weight type one. and also usually the dot contact is made of thin plate spring however, this time I prepared a lead switch type dot contact controlled by a small magnet. This key is very heavy as I installed 9mm thick iron plate under the base plate. The total weight is a little bit more than 1.4kg so this key is very stable on the desk and very easy to operate.

スエーデン型Straight Key Helios No.1439号の製作 (Making a Sweden type Straight Key)

スエーデン型Straight Key　通算製作番号No.1439号です。支点からつまみまでのレバーが長く120ｍｍもあります。つまみの位置はレバーに設けてある4ｍｍφで長さが25ｍｍの長穴でスライド式に調整が出来ます。レバー側の接点には0.8ｍｍ厚の燐青銅いたを取り付けてあります。台座は欅で底面には6ｍｍ厚の鉄板を取り付けてあるので机上でどっしりと安定しており円滑な操作ができます。

I made a Sweden type Straight key serial No.1439. Length of lever from pivot to the end of the lever is 120mm. The finger knob position can be easily adjusted through the slide hole located at the end of the lever. I put a 0.8mm thick phosphor bronze plate at the top of the lever. I used a zelkova tree for the base plate and put a 6mm thick iron plate under the base so it is very stable on the tabel when operate it.

ネオジム磁石の反発力を利用したSingle Lever Paddle using neodymium magnet

ネオジム磁石の反発力を利用したSingle Lever Paddle を製作しました。ネオジム磁石の同じ磁極を相対させると反発力が生じます、これを利用してレバーを中点に維持出来るようにしたパドルを作りました。

I made a single lever paddle using 4 neodymium magnets. I put two magnet in facing the same pole so that to make very strong repulsion force to make the lever keep in the neutral position. I put an iron plate under the aclylic plate to make the paddle stable on the desk.

特定小型原動機付き自転車 An identified small motor driven vehicle

最近、原動機付き自転車の法規制が改正されて従来の50ｃｃの原付と称する物は無くなりました、代わりに無免許で乗れる特定小型原動機付き自転車という区分けの乗り物が出来ました。これは2輪のキックボードのような物から２輪の自転車、３輪車、また４輪の比較的大きな物まであり、歩道も走行できます。

Recentry the motor driven bysicle regulation has greatly revised. Usual 50cc engine type has completly disappeared in the regulation however, an identified small motor driven vehicle (to be called bysicle even has four wheels) regulation is newly enacted. This vehicle doesn't need any driving license. These vehicle include two wheels, three wheels and four wheels and it is OK to drive on the pedestrian pass.  

最大速度が6ｋまでの歩道モードと20ｋまでの一般道路走行モードを切り替えて走行が出来ます。今年の４月からは自転車に付いても法規制が厳しくなり違反した場合の罰金もかなり高額になります。

従って走行時には道路標識を良く確認しながら走行する必要があります。今回私が購入したのはELEMOS社のRebornという４輪車で満充電で40ｋｍ以上の走行が可能でどんな急坂も上る事が出来ます。

試乗してみた結果、車に慣れていた自分にとっては、ハンドルの反応が敏感すぎ、サスペンションが堅すぎて路面の凹凸をもろに受ける、下り坂はブレーキをかけていないとスピードが速くなってしまう、、、などでした。

これらは慣れてくれば大丈夫だと思います。私の家は山の上なのでこれで買い物が楽になります。

It has two driving modes one is max 6ｋｍ/ｈ pedestrian mode and the other is max 20km/h general road mode. This time I bought a small four wheel vehicle name Rebor made by Elemos company. It can run more than 40 km by full charged battery and very powerful it can go up even a very steep slope. The sensitivity of the handle bar operation is too much sensitive and the suspension springs are too hard then the driving feering is not good I though after I tried. But I think it might be OK after I accostumd driving this vehicle.

精魂込めた手作り電鍵’Bug Key)通算製作番号 No.1435号 Making a home brewed Bug Key

このBug Keyの接点は通常の板バネ式の他にリードスイッチを小さなマグネットで制御するリードスイッチ式を使っています。リードスイッチは接点の動作範囲が板バネよりも広いので短点の長さの調整がうまく出来ます。またぺンジュラムの振動の停止は従来の錘式の他にシリコンチューブにぶつける方式も使えるようになっています、シリコンチューブにぶつける方式は音が大変静かになります。このビデオではリードスイッチと錘ストッパーを使っています。

This bug key has two devices for dot contact one is a usual spring plate and the other one is using a lead switch controled by a small magnet. This lead switch has a wide reange of contact point for the dot signal and that is why it is very easy to adjust the time length of the dot．And the pendulum stopper has also two devices the weight device as usual and a silicone tube device which is very quiet.

若かった頃は　その第2弾です。

年齢は間もなく40歳になる頃でした。娘たち2人も大きくなり自分専用の無線室（Shack)が必要になってきました、またキッチンも狭かったので自分で裏庭に増築する事にしました。会社が夏休みになる前に材料を購入しておき、大きな材料は行程の進展に合わせて運んでもらうようにしました。土台はブロックを並べると言う簡単な方法でブロックの配置が済んでから柱の加工、梁の加工、屋根、床材、窓枠、断熱材、アルミサッシ、屋根のトタン張り、床張り、内装、ペンキ塗りと進めて行きました。電気配線は当時はまだ資格がなかったので水道も含めて業者に依頼しました。夏休みは1週間でしたがこれに有給休暇を加えてかなりのスピードで行程が進みました。残った仕事は休日の度に少しづつ進めて9月半ばには完成しました。今ではとてもじゃないがこんな重労働は出来ませんね。写真はネガがなかったので写真をカメラで撮影したので解像度が悪いです。

When I was young No.

It was almost getting to be aged just before 40. My daughters has grewed up big so I need to have my own room so called Radio Shack and also our kitchen room was not wide enough so I decided to add an extension to my house. I bought wood materials and other things before summer vacation and I ordered some very big material such as wall , floor, loof panels to be delivered on just good time following to the working processes. I used a very simple method for making foundation using concrete blocks and after that I processed to make pillers beams and etc. I processed loof, floor, windows, insulation. interior work and painting. At that time I did'n have license for electric wiring so I asked to contractors including water piping. My summer vacation was only 1 week however my work was done very speedy and the remained work was done on every week end then in the middle of September my shack and kitchen were completed. It was very ver hard work for me I think it is impossible for me to do such same work at my age now !   

若かった頃は When I was young

これは３０歳代半ばだったと思う、アマチュア無線家にとっては究極の念願である鉄塔を建てました。11ｍ程度の比較的小さな鉄塔でしたが庭に穴を掘って無線の仲間たちが手伝って建ててくれました。さすがに３エレメントの大型八木アンテナの威力により14MHｚSSBで海外との更新が楽に出来るようになりました。私はDXハンティング二はあまり興味がなくてもっぱらラグチューをしていました。特にオーストラリアは時差が１時間しかないのでQSO（通信）が楽に出来ました。VK3AGTのStan氏やVK3AMNのJhonさんとは16年間もの長い間、毎週土曜日の夕方に定時交信を行っていました。VK3AMNの娘さんのErizabethとその友人のDalanesannも私の家に2回も来ています。残念ながらVK3AGTStan氏氏とVK3AMNSandy氏はすでに病気でSK（死亡）されています。私も招かれてオーストラリアに行きましたが、車での移動で驚いたのは広大な国なので車の周りは360度がぐるりと平坦な地平線でした。

今は私は86歳で鉄塔には上れません、鉄塔は降ろして小さな5バンドのGPをあげています。

This story was when I was much young about middle of 30 years old. It was my long awaited event to build a iron tower for Ham Radio operatoer. It was rather a small tower only about 11 meters high my ham radio friends helped me to build the tower. I put a very big three element Yagi antenna for HF band and it was very good to talk with many over sea stations on 14MHz SSB band. I didn't look for DX stations but I prefer to talk (or just chatting) especially with Australian stations because we have only 1 hour time difference with Australia. We kept on scheduled talk on every Saturday evening for almost 16 years long. There were very intimate two friends they are VK3AGT Stan and VK3AMN Sandy, however, they have already passed away. VK3AGT and his daughter Elizabeth and her friend Dalane visited my home twice and also I was invited their home. I was so surprised when we were driving through the wide Australian country I could only see just straight horisontal line 360 degree around us.

Now I aged 86 so I already took down the tower and using a very small 5 band GP antenna.
