あのＰａｔｔｉ Ｐａｇｅ が逝ってしまった。！

まだ私が２０歳代の頃、レコードが擦り切れるほどに聞いていたあの優しい甘い歌声のＰａｔｔｉ　Ｐａｇｅ　が今月８５歳で亡くなってしまった。

私が英語を勉強しようとしたきっかけの一つがＰａｔｔｉ　Ｐａｇｅ　の優しい声の歌だった。私の耳もとでささやくようにあの声の息が耳に吹きかかるようにさえ感じられた。音楽は人の心をを大きく動かしてくれます。これからもＳＡＸでいろいろと思い出して練習をしようと考えます。

When I was young I used to listen to Patti Page's song very often. The record disk had worn because I played so often. Her voice was so beautiful and pronouciation was very clear and I felt as if she is singing just beside me and even I could feel her breath. She passed away at age of 85 in January this year. It was one of a big motivation to study English language for me.
