ペグシェーバーが完成（I made a peg shaver)

バイオリンの弦を巻く軸棒（ペグ）に適度なテーパーを付ける道具であるペグシェーバーを作ってみました。試行錯誤の結果何とか使えるようになりました。さくら材で製作したペグをこのシェーバーにかけて削った結果はほぼ市販のペグと同じテーパーに加工できました。

I made a peg shaver. I did try and errors for few timesand finally I succeeded to make a shaver which is able to shave the peg in a good shape.

精魂込めた手作り電鍵通算７００号が完成（CW Key Serial No.700 has completed)

精魂込めた手作り電鍵の通算製作番号Ｎｏ.700が完成しました。出来上がったのはＣｒｅｓｃｅｎｔと命名している縦振り電鍵です。優美なデザインでソフトな打鍵フィーリングにより人気の高い電鍵です。最近はシニアーのモールスファンが復活してきています。モールス信号による通信は既にプロの世界からは消えてしまいましたがアマチュア無線家の仲間ではまだまだ活発に地球上で信号が飛び交っています。

I put everything I had to make

these home brew CW keys. This time I completed No.700 of the serial numbered one. The key is named Crescent because the cover shape looks like crescent. Mors code comunication had already abandoned in the professional comunication field however many senior members came back to restart again in the Ham Radio. The Mors Code Signals are still busily used over the global area among the Ham Radio Enthusiastics.

ペグ用エンドミルの製作（Ａｎ Ｅｎｄｍｉｌｌ ｆｏｒ Ｐｅｇ）

バイオリンのペグの指をかけて回す部分（ハンドル？）は中央部が少し凹んだ形状になっています。これを削り出すために刃先に少しだけＲを付けたエンドミルを試作しました。刃先は焼き入れ鋼です。最終的にはヤスリを使ってもう少し良い形状にします。また首の部分の飾りを付ける旋盤用のバイトはこれから製作します。

The pegs handling portion (finger position) is little bit dented so I made an Endmill to make the Peg for the Violin. The shape must be finishe by using file to be more good shape. And I will make a sharp edged bite to make a decoration rings around the neck of the Peg.

切粉吹き飛ばし風量の増強（Air Blow Increased)

最近購入した糸鋸盤は非常に使い易くとても良いのですが唯一の欠点は切粉吹き飛ばしの風量が不足で特に低速ではほとんど役に立ちません。そこで科学実験用ピペットのゴムのちょうど良いのがあったのでこれを使って改良しました。今度は低速でも切粉を吹き飛ばすことができます。下の写真は改良前のゴムポンプで小さい。

次の写真はピペットのゴムを使ったポンプです。ホースをすぐに曲げるのでホースがつぶれないように内部にコイルスプリングを入れました。

The newly bought bland new coping saw is very good except the blowing strength is very week. It is due to the very small air pump as shown in the upper photo. I changed this pump with a pipette rubber pump it is just fit in the machine as shown in the lower photo. Now the blow is very strong enough even at the low speed operation.

ペグの試作（trial to make a peg)

バイオリンのペグ（弦を巻く棒）を試作してみました。指をかけるハンドル部分の形状がよくないですね。ペグに合う形状になるようにフライス盤のエンドミルから作る必要があります。

I tried to meka a peg but the shape of the handle is not good. I need to make a special end mill for my milling machine to make a good shaped peg.

バイオリンの駒（Violin String Supporter so called Bridge)

試にバイオリンの駒を作ってみました。木材の適当なのが無かったのでブナの木で作ってみました。材質が柔らかそうなので実用には向かないようですが何となく形はそのように見えるようです。まだ厚みや高さの調整はこれからです。小さいので複雑な形状の穴開け加工が大変です。

I tryally made a biridge which is used to support the strings just near the f shaped hole on the top of the Violin upper plate. I coudn't find a good material for the bridge so I used a beech tree panel but I think this is somewhat soft for the bridge.
It was very difficult to make the little complicated holes in the bridge. I need more adjust ment before to use.

我が工房にまた新兵器が登場 I bought a new coping saw

曲線切りが自由に出来る糸鋸盤を購入しました。以前は自作の糸鋸盤を使っていましたがストロークが少なく回転数も可変出来ないので不便でしたが、色々検討した結果この糸鋸盤が一番良いと考えて購入しました。ストロークは19ｍｍ、回転数は可変でＬＥＤライトが付いています。唯一の不満は切粉吹き飛ばしの風力が不足で切粉が十分に飛ばせません。この問題は空気ポンプを改造して風力を増強する予定です。

I bought a new coping saw. I used to work with a home made coping saw but it had very poor performance those were little saw stroke and the saw speed was not variable.
I checked many coping saws made by many conpanies and finally I decided to buy this one.
This one has enough long stroke 19mm and the speed is variable.
It has also a LED light.
I have only one complaint to this machine because the cutting dust blower is not strong enough so I will improve this problem by changing the air pump with more big one.
