この木製の矢はどうやってアクリル板の小さな穴に入ったのか？

私は物作りが好きで何でも面白い物を作って見るのが好きです。さて、この木製の矢は後から接着したりつないだりはしていません、完全に１本の木から削り出した矢です。アクリル板は厚みが3ｍｍで穴径は約１０φ、矢のの軸は太さが約8.5ｍｍあります。アクリルを熱で変形させたわけでもありません。普通にドリルで穴を開けただけです。どうやって作ったのでしょう？頭脳明晰な方にはたぶん解らなでしょう！ある大学の工学部の著名な教授に見せたら絶対に俺に教えるなと言って、１週間後に「解ったぞ！」と回答してきました。正解でした。

I made this wooden arrow piercing into an acrylic panel of 3mm thick. The arrow was made of one wood without using glue or did not combined elements after all. The arrow is only one piece of wood and shaped by knife and saw. I didn't heat the acrylic panel to deform to insert the arrow. I just only drilled a hole into the panel. A famous professor of engineering dept. think about how to make this and he finally answered me and he said " I got !".It was correct answer !!

塩ビパネル製バイオリンの演奏「星に願いを」

塩ビパネルを使ってバイオリンを作ってみました。半透明で内部が透けて見えるのでなかなか綺麗な感じです。音は木製のバイオリンよりは少し小さいようですがマイルドな良い音だと思います。私は弾けないので弾ける方にお願いして弾いていただきました「星に願いを」。自分で作ったバイオリンの音を聞いて感動しました。

I made a Violin using vinyl chloride panel. Which is almost trans palent therefore looks very beautiful. The sound is little bit smaller if comparing with the standard wood Violin but the sound is very mild. I can't play the Violin so I asked a person who can play it. She played (When you wish upon a star) I am so pleased to hear the sound of it.

バイオリン失敗作（A Failed Violin)

今回は胴付きのバイオリンを作ってみました。本来は楓や松などの木で作りますが材料が高価であること、削るための工具も高価であるし、第一作業をするための有効なスペースがありません。そこで安価な塩ビの板を熱で成型する型を先ず製作して塩ビ板の胴を作りました。見かけはそれらしくなりましたが面がつるつるで滑るので接着作業が大変でした。一番困ったのは魂柱を立てることが滑るために出来ないことです。仕方なく魂柱は最初から適当な位置に接着してしまいました。弦を張って鳴らしてみると共鳴胴の効果が思わしくありません。サイレントバイオリンよりは大きな音ですが通常のバイオリンのような音色にはなりませんでした。せっかく精魂込めて作ったのですが見かけだけのバイオリンになってしまいました。でも、今回は大変勉強になりました。
(This time I made a Violin having a resonance body. Usually the body must be made of maple or pine tree but those wood are very expensive and I have to buy some expensive cutting tools and also I have no enough space to make the Violin. Then this time I used a vinyl chloride panel because it is very cheep and easy to mold by heat. The panel surface is very smooth therefore it is very slippery and very difficult to glue together. The sound post was almost impossible to install after the body was made then I have glued the post before the body was made. The effect of the resonance body was not good. The sound was only a little bit bigger than the silent Violin. This time I failed to make a Violin. But it was a good study for me.)

ネックの仕上げ工程が終りペグも取り付けて完了です。後はバイオリン本体の製作にとりかかります。(The Neck has finished and the pegs are installed.　And now I will start to meke the sound box of the Violin

ネックの中間工程（The Neck Fabrication 2nd Stage)

ネックの中間工程です。渦巻き部分の粗切りが終ったところです。これからノミ、鉋、ヤスリ、ナイフなどで最終的仕上げを行います。(The neck fabricatuin is in the second stage. Rough cutting of the spiral shape has done. It must be fainally finished with chisels, planers,files and knives.)

ネックの製作途中です。外径と糸巻箱の加工が大体できました。ネック頭部の渦巻き模様は慎重に加工します。(The work of neck is in the process. String winding box and rough outline are completed. The head spiral shape should be very carefully fabricated.

サイレントバイオリンの演奏

かねてから製作していたサイレントバイオリンが完成したのでバイオリンを弾ける人にお願いして弾いていただきました。アンプを使わなくても結構大きな音が出ています。
故郷、浜辺の歌それに赤とんぼを演奏していただきました。

Ｔｈｅ　ｓｉｌｅｎｔ　ｖｉｏｌｉｎ　ｈａｓ　ｃｏｍｐｌｅｔｅｄ　and I asked one who can play Violin and she  played it. I am very much pleased to hear the sound of my home brew violin.

ネックの粗切り完了(Rough Cutting of the Neck has done)

ネックの外形切り（粗切り）が完了です。これから糸巻箱の加工などが大変です。でもさすがにメープル材は加工がし易いと感じました。Rough cutting of the neck shape has done.
The maple wood is very easy to cut as I expected. Now I have to make string winding box and other finishing work must be done. it would be a very hard work.

バイオリンの製作開始(Started to make a Violin)

９月から始める予定でしたが待ちきれず早くもバイオリンの製作を開始しました。先ずは型板から製作です。前回はネックを作るのに集成材を使って木目が均一でなかったので加工が非常に大変でした。そこで今度は楓（Ｍａｐｌｅ）材を使います。(First I intended to make a Violin from this September but I couldn't wait until Autumn so I have started to make a Violin now.
It was very difficult to make a neck part of the Violin because I used compiled wood which have very complicated grain. So this time I select a maple tree for the neck material. I must make the model panels before cutting the materials.
