ＣＷ符号ネバリ防止装置(Mors Code Mark Amender)

往復電鍵を使ってモールス信号を打鍵すると両側接点の間隙が狭いところをレバーが往復するので符号構成要素の間隙が小さくなり符号が不明瞭になるネバリが生じます。この装置はシュミットトリガーを使って符号構成要素の間の間隙を広げて符号の明瞭度を高める効果がありあたかもエレキーで打っているようなきれいな符号になります。

When we use a double stroke (both way) key the CW code will be somewhat unreadable because the spaces between the code elements will be shorten due to the lever moves in a very nallow gap between the contact points.This equipment enlarges the small space between the code elements using shmitt trigger IC. It will make a very clear CW code as if hitting an electronic keyer.

1.5ＫＷダミーロード（1.5ＫＷ Ｄｕｍｍｙ Ｌｏａｄ）

送信機の調整用に使う疑似空中線（Ｄｕｍｍｙ　Ｌｏａｄ）です。送信機を調整する場合、実際に電波を出しながら調整をするとその周波数近辺で運用中の無線局に混信などの迷惑をかけることになるので調整する場合はアンテナの代わりに疑似空中線（高周波特性に優れた抵抗器でアンテナと同じインピーダンス（Ｉｍｐｅｄａｎｃｅ）を持つ）を使います。送信機の終段出力が500Ｗの場合小さな疑似空中線ではすぐに焼けてしまいます。写真に示すＤｕｍｍｙ　Ｌｏａｄはアメリカの有名なメイカーＭＦＪの物で最大で1.5ＫＷまで耐えられます。と言っても1.5ＫＷも入れると僅か８秒が限度で500Ｗでは３６秒まで耐えられます。３６秒もあれば十分に送信機の調整やテストを行うことが出来ます。

When we adjust a transmitter we have to use a dummy load instead of a real antenna. If we connect the real antenna and adjust the transmitter it will make some interference to another radio stations who are working near the testing frequency. The dummy load has a same electrical characteristics of the antenna so we can adjust the transmitter without transmitting any interference into the air. When we load 1.5KW radio signal to the dummy load the dummy will soon be burned. The tolerance time would be very short for this load only abut 8 seconds. For 500W power it will be OK for about 36 seconds. 36 seconds would be just enough time to adjust and test the transmitter. The power and tolerance time chart is written on the back of this dummy load. 

記録的な大雪 (A recording heavy snow fall)

２月８日（土）は関東地方に記録的な大雪が降りました。東京では４５年ぶりだそうです。横浜でも15ｃｍは積もりました。朝は寒いので路面が凍結して転倒し、骨折した人が大勢出ました。玄関ポーチにも吹き溜まりで20ｃｍ以上も積もりドアーが少ししか開きませんでした。

We had a recording heavy snow fall on Feb. 8th(Sat) in the Kanto Plains. In Tokyo this kind of snow fall was recorded 45 years ago. So many people had stumbled and break their bones due to very slippery frozen road in the cold morning. In my home the accumulation of the snow in the entrance porch was about 20cm then the door could'n't open widely.
