新型電鍵「Ｉｇｎｉｔｅｒ」誕生 New Type Key 「Igniter」

新型の電鍵「Ｉｇｎｉｔｅｒ」が誕生しました。この構想は以前から有ったのですが、なかなか機構が難しくて思案していましたがようやく構造が決まりました。今は電子回路に置き換えられて使われなくなった自動車のディストリビューターに使われていたカムで開閉される丈夫な接点が使われているスイッチの未使用品を沢山持っています。この接点と付属のバネを活かして縦振りの電鍵を作りました。接点は大きな電流に耐えるのでこれなら送信機の終段管のカソードを断続する所謂カソードキーイングが可能です。命名は「Ｉｇｎｉｔｅｒ」です。

I have been intending to make a mors key using the distributer switch used in the old cars for many years long. Nowadays this switch is replaced with electronic circuit. And I finally decided to make the key with this switch as shown in the pictures. The construction looks some what complicated but the design is very simple and good. The feeling is very good and I will name it as 「Igniter」. This swtch has a very enduarable contact point so it would be very good to directry control the kathode current of the transmitters final tube.
