線バネの調整機構の改良（An improvement of spring adjuster)

線バネを使った電鍵「Saxophone」のバネの調節機構はＭ４のボルトに沿って駒で押し下げる方法でしたがネジを緩めてバネの強さを弱くしようとすると駒がボルトにネジ山に邪魔されて上がってきませんでした。バネを押す位置をなるべくボルトに近づけてみましたがやはりうまく動きませんでした。そこで調節ネジを上下に挟むようにして円滑に上下に動くように改良しました。今後製作するSaxophoneはこの方式にするようにします。

I made a vertical swinging key using a straight wire spring But the adjustment of the spring tension was not smooth due to the adjuster tilted then catched at the screw thread The adjuster was good when pushing down the spring as it was hold horizomtally by a pushing down nut Then I improved the adjuster to hold the screw nut in the bosom of the adjuster as shown in the pictures The adjuster hold horinzontally in the both way of up and down Now it is very smooth

回転軸の無い縦振り電鍵（A morse key with no pivot in the lever)

一般的にモールス信号用の縦振り式電鍵はレバーの中ほどに回転軸があって、そこを中心にレバーがシーソーのように振れて信号を送出します。中には軸の支持にベアリングを入れた高級な物もあります。しかし、この振れ角度は非常に少ないので回転軸の必要はないと考えました。以前に製作した「Raccoon」という小型のシングルレバー電鍵は板バネの捻じれを利用していたのでこの方式を縦振り電鍵にも応用しました。回転軸が無くレバーは板バネで固定されているのでレバーのガタつきは全くありません。打鍵フィーリングもとても軽やかです。

I made an uniqe morse code key. Generally the morse code key has a pivot in the swinging lever but the swing agle is very small so I thought the rotating pivot is not necessary. I use a thin metal plate instead f a pivot. The small metal plate will slightly twist ant that is just enough to swing the lever. I made a single lever paddle using this kind of twisting plate then I also applicated this idea to the vertical swinging key.The lever  is securely fixed on the plate then there is no rocketiness.The feeling of the key touch is very good.

アンテナが無くなってしまった。（My Antenna has gone)

永い年月に渡って親しんで使っていたアンテナとタワーが撤去されて無くなってしまった。撤去作業はこれを欲しいという方が居て非常に熱心に一人で撤去作業をやってくれた。取り付けボルトは錆びているし塗膜が厚いので高い場所での作業はとても大変です。高層ビルの管理をされて居るということで高所の作業には慣れているようです。途中で近所のハム仲間が助っ人に来てくれて作業は安全にすべて終了しました。あとは一抹の寂しさが残るだけです。

My Antennas and tower has gone. A man living near my house are willing to built the Antenna tower and Antennas. So he came to my home and climbed up the tower and aparted all parts of the Antennas. After that he removed the all bolts connecting each segment of the tower and dropped them onto the ground. It was a very hard work because the bolts are all rusted and the painted skin was so thick. He is working maintenance job of high buildings that is why he is accustomed to work at high place. One of  my ham radio friend helped him as he has enough experience to apart this kind of the tower. The work has completely done without any trouble and I did feel  some lonelyness after the all things were gone.   

とってもナンセンスでもインタレスティング（Much Nonsence but interesting)

私の電鍵を購入していただいたある方が、とってもばかばかしくナンセンスな実験を真面目にやっています。私が作った縦振り電鍵をサーボモーターで制御して符号を送出しているのです。いわばロボットが電信を打っているようなものです。しかし、こんな手間ひまかけなくてもプログラムした電気信号をそのまま送信機に接続すればいいのです。このようなバカバカしいことをやるのがとっても楽しいことなんですね。

This is a very much nonsence trial. A man who bought my homebrew CW Key made a motor driven CW keying mechanism. He did it very seriously. We don't need to do such a complicated matter. The CW code can be directly connected to a transmitter without any key. However, to do this kind of things is very much interesting !!
