サキソフォンのリークライト（A leak light for Saxophone）

今日は東京で開催されたハムフェアーの最終日でした。我々のブースも盛況のうちに終了しました。今回のフェアーで購入した物は棒状のＬＥＤライトです。これは太さも長さも明るさにおいてもサキソフォンの検査に使うリークライトとしてぴったりでした。リークライトはサキソフォンにある２２個のトーンホールからの空気の漏れ具合を光の漏れでチェックするものです。トーンホールの塞がりが悪いと空気が漏れて演奏できなくなったり、音が悪くなったりします。これでチェックした結果、下のＡ＃のトーンホールから少し光が漏れていたのでタンポのホルダーの向きを調整して漏れを修正しました。見事に最低音のＡ＃が良く出るようになりました。椅子の上にあるのがリークライトです。

下の写真はリークライトを中に入れた状態でトーンホールが開いている状態です。レバーを抑えてトーンホールを塞ぐと全く光はもれなくなります。

I bought a rod shaped LED light at Ham Fair held in Tokyo on Aug.22ed to 23rd. Our booth(CQ club) has finished in a very thriving business in this Ham fair. This LED light is only one I bought at the Fair. This is very good to use as a leak light for the Saxophone.Saxophone has 22 tone holes and when the hole is not closed completely the Saxophone will not make good sounds. I put this light into the Sax in dark room and close the all tone holes. when some tone holes is not closed light will leak slightly then I can check the tone holes.When I used this I found lower A# tone hole was leaking light then I adjusted it so that to close completely and then I can play it with a very good sound.
