完成した電鍵（金髪のＪｅｎｎｙ） Ｔｈｅ ｃｏｍｐｌｅｔｅｄ Ｍｏｒｓｅ Ｋｅｙｓ

完成した部品を組み立てるとこのような電鍵（Morse Key or Paddle)になります。この電鍵は一般的にはパドル（Ｐａｄｄｌｅ）と言われますがＩＡＭＢＩＣ（アイアンビック）型パドルと言っていわゆるスクイズ操作ができます。世の中には非常にの多くのパドルが作られていますがこのパドルは比較的タッチが重く、堅い感じでどちらかと言えばゆっくりと正確に打つのに適しています。従ってこれからモールス通信を始めようとする方には最適な電鍵だと思います。
当初は真鍮の地肌を磨いただけでしたが酸化して色が悪くなるので現在の物は鏡面仕上げの後でプライマー処理をし、その上にクリアーラッカーをかけています。従って美しい輝きをいつまでも維持することができます。

These two pictures show the completed paddle named Blonde Jenny as shown in the top page of my blog. This morse key is called IAMBIC type paddle then so called squeeze operation can be done. There are so many kind of IAMBIC type paddles in the world but this one is very much suitable for the CW bigginers because this has  rather a hard touch feeling and good to operate in very correctly  and  slow speed operation. For the first time I made this one I only shined the surface of the brass but it will soon oxidized and shiny surface will be darkened. So after I fibished the surface in mirror condition and then treate primary paint and I paint laquer on it so that to prevent dioxidation. Now the beautiful shiny brass surface will be kept in very long time.
