テナーサックスのリペアー

ニッケルクロ－ムメッキのテナーサックスのリペアーがほぼ完了しました。すべてのタンポを交換し、ネックコルクの巻き替えや各部のクッションのコルクも交換しました。あともう少しバネの強さの調整とタンポの閉まりをもう少し調整すると快適な演奏ができます。現状でも十分に演奏できるレベルです。外観もピカピカでとてもきれいになりました。

I have finished overhauling the Tenor Saxophone. I replaced all tampo pads, neck colk and some cushion colks. The out look is very beautifully glittering. I can enjoy playing now and it would be more better if I adjust the pads more tightly.

霧にむせぶ紅葉(Colored maple leaves in the misty atmosphere)

１１月１９日（土）は生憎の雨でしたが紅葉を見に大山に行ってきました。雨と濃い霧の中に霞む紅葉はまた格別な風情のある眺めでした。阿夫利神社は昔からその名の由来である雨降りにふさわしい情景でした。

I went to Ohyama mountain to enjoy seeing the beautiful colored leaves in spite of a very rainy day with my friends of GTT..All the leaves of scariet-tinged were so beautiful in the misty atmosphere. I felt those scenery were much more beautiful than to see in the clear sky. The shrine named Afuri Jinja was just tbe best apperance in the rain "Afurii means rain falling.

組み立てが完了しました（Ａｌｌ ｐａｒｔｓ ａｒｅ ｒｅａｓｓｅｍｂｌｅｄ）

テナーサックスのすべての部品を組み付ける作業が終わりました。これからタンポの微調整を行いますがこのためには再度取り外す部品もあります。

However, I think I have to remove some parts again when I adjust the tampo pads to be well closed on the tone holes.

分解と磨き(Aparting all parts and polishing)

テナーサックスを分解し、すべてのパーツを磨き上げました。あとはタンポを外して交換をします。テナーサックスでも本体だけになるとびっくりするほど軽いんですね。如何にトーンレバーなどが重いかが解ります。技術的に軽量化の余地が十分にありますね。

サックスのボディーを磨き上げました。(Polished)

I aparted all parts and polished the body and other parts).I found and realized how the body it'self is very light and also how the tone levers are heavy. I think there will be plenty room for improvement to make them more light

ネックのコルクを巻き替えました。

先ずリペアーのはじめとしてネックのコルクを巻き替えました。ついでにくすんでいた表面を超微粒子コンパウンドで磨いてピカピカにしました。

磨く前のくすんだ表面とコルク巻き替え前の状態 Befor polishing.

表面を磨いたあと、とコルクを巻き替えた状態 Aftre polished and replaced neck colk.

I replaced the neck colk with new one and also polished the surface using a very fine polishing cream. It became very shiny as shown in the picture.

中古テナーサックスのリペアー

また中古のサックスを入手しました。今回もテナーサックスでＫａｅｒｎｔｎｅｒというブランドです。凹みもなく錆もなくメカ部分の動作もしっかりしています。ニッケルクロームメッキだと思われますのでコンパウンドで磨くと表面の酸化膜が取れてくすんでいた面がピカピカになります。タンポは傷んでいるのですべて交換しネックのコルクも巻き替えます。これから順次リペアーの進行状況を報告します。

I got a used tenor sax once again. The brand name is kaerntner. There are no rust and dent and the mechanical condition is just good. The surface is subdued because of oxidation expoused for long time without any cleaning. It will be very shiny after a very proper polishing using a very fine polishing cream. All tanpo pads are damaged so I will replace them with new one. Neck colk must be replaced with new one, too. I will write repairing report one after another.
