ストレート電鍵「Ｈｅｌｉｏｓ」が２台完成しました。そのうちの１台にはつまみも真鍮製に交換できるようにしてあります。

食品サンプル作り

東京の合羽橋にある食品関係全般の道具街と言われている合羽橋で食品サンプル作りを体験してきました。これは日本独特の文化で外国人に人気があり今回は外国人を大勢連れて体験ツアーをを行いました。先ず、作り方の手本を見せてもらってから、ビニールのエプロンをかけて摂氏約41度のお湯に溶かした蝋を少しずつ垂らして行き油面に凹凸の膜が出来たらその上にあらかじめ用意したかぼちゃ、エビ、さつま芋などにそっくりに作った樹脂製の芯を置きくるっとまわしてから水に入れて冷やすと出来上がる、と言う簡単な物です。写真の天ぷら3種類が今回私が作った物です。外国人もみんな面白がってやっていました。

Our GTT (Good Time Trekkers) visited so called food utensil shopping street in Kappa-bashi Tokyo to have experience food sample making. This food sample is a Japanese unique culture and very popular among foreign people. We invited many American people and enjoyed it. Before making the sample we put on a vinyl apron in the food sample making shop. They(the staff ) prepared hot water heated to about 41 degree centigrade in a small tub and they showed us how to make the sample before we do. We had to drip melted paraffin slowly onto the hot water and then put a food shaped thing such as shrimp egg plant or sweet potatoes made of plastic on the dripped paraffin membrane and turn around it then put it into cold water. That is all. It is very easy. The picture of three Templa samples are all I made. The foreign people also enjoyed this experience.

ＤＩＰ ＭＥＴＥＲ 自作コイルの精度(The Accuracy of the coils)

LEADER電子のGrid Dip Meter LDM-810　の紛失したコイルを自作し、コイルのボビンを熱収縮チューブで保護したので最終的にダイアル目盛りと合うかどうかをカウンターを使って確認しました。元からあったコイルFの精度に比べて遜色のない精度です。コイルAの低い周波数では精度が悪いようですがこれはコイルの巻き方に問題がありガラ巻きに近いのでコイルの層間の浮遊容量（Stray Capacity)の影響と思われます。それ以外は実用性に問題はないようです。After I made the coils for the Leaders Dip Meter LDM-810 I put a heat shrinking tube around the coil bobbin. I examined the accuracy of the coils using a frequency counter. The counter shows very good results comparing with the dial scale(graduation). I think there is no inferiority comparing with the makers one. However, the lowest frequency shows somewhat wrong data of coil A. I think it is because of my coil winding manner was not good (rough winding) It resulted in some stray capacity and causes frequency get down.

特注で製作した豪華なストレートキー(A Luxurious Straight Key)

極最近の事ですが、特別仕様の電鍵「ストレートキー」の製作依頼がありました。電鍵本体は台座も含めて全てが真鍮製のピカピカ、更にこれを飾っておくための飾りトレーとその上に透明アクリルでダストカバーをつけるという物です。真鍮の台座は20ｍｍ厚で80ｍｍ×170ｍｍです。電鍵本体は「Helios」ですがバネは線バネではなくコイルバネに変更です。つまみやフィンガーレストは本来は指でつかむ部分なので普通は絶縁体で作りますがこれも全て真鍮製です。部品は先ず完成してから鏡面仕上げを行い、その上にクリアーなウレタン塗装にしました。ウレタンは塗膜強度があり、塗装面の艶も出易いのです。

飾りトレーは真鍮の電鍵に合うように赤味のあるアフリカンパドックという硬い木材にしました。これの中央部の電鍵が乗る部分を約10ｍｍの深さでくぼみを掘り込みました。

トレーはクリアーラッカーの塗装をしてあります。重量は相当に重くなりました。しかし重量を測定するのを忘れて送ってしまいました。完成した姿はとても豪華な感じになりました。

送り先に重量の測定をお願いしたところ、電鍵本体が2.8Kgで飾りトレーも含めると4.5Kgの重量でした。大変どっしりとした重い電鍵です。

Recently I was asked to make a straight key in a very special specifications. The key must be made of all brass material　including the knob and the finger rest yes, all shiny glitter one.Th ekey have to be hold on a tray with a transparent acrylic box.The key base is 20mm thick and 80mm width 170mm length. The key itself is {Helios」 type and the spring has changed to coil spring from the needle spring. Usually the knob should be made of insulated material but I made the knob using a brass. The all parts have to be polished before painting. This time I used a urethane clear paint because the paint film is very strong and easy to make a good surface quality.

I used an African Padock wood material for the tray because the color will be good matched with the brass yellow color. And I dig a 10mm shallow cavityfor the key place to put. I painted clear lacquer on the tray.The completed key became a very luxurious one.

It bacame very heavy but I forgot to measure the weight of it. The I aske to measure the weight to whom ordered the key and he told me the key is 2.5Kg and the total weight including the tray and acrylic box is 4.5Kg. It is a very massive one.
