昨日頼んでおいた真鍮材が届いたので今日はネジを作りました。１０φの大きさで全体が約15ｍｍ、ネジはＭ4です。卓上小型旋盤で２０個作りましたが、２時間以上かかりました。ネジ工場では鍛造機で作るのでこの程度のものは何秒かで出来てしまうでしょう！似たようなネジは売っていますが手作りのネジは趣があると思います。但し、生産コストを考えると大変に高価なネジになってしまいます。
Those screws (Are those called crowns?) were made by myself using a desk top lathe. It takes more about two hours to make twenty of them. These are used for terminal posts to fasten the cables. But the automatic machine can make them in seconds order!! Home brewed screws must be very very expensive.
テーブルソーを新しく購入しました。今まで自作して使っていたテーブルソーはルーター、ジグソー、丸鋸と３つの工具を取り付けていたので使いやすいのですが重くて動かすのに大変でした。そこで今回は丸鋸だけのテーブルスソーを購入しました。安全カバーが付いていましたがこれがあると非常に使いにくいので取り外し、切り粉が下に落ちるのでプラスチック製の中身が見える大きな箱をした側に取り付けて切り粉受けを作りました。またスライド式の直角切断定規を作って小物の切断が正確に安全に出来るようにしました。鋸の回転の音はそれほど大きくはないのですが少しパワーが足りない感じがします。鋸刃の中心穴が15ｍｍなので手持ちの20ｍｍ穴のプラスチック用のチップソーが装着できるように20ｍｍから15ｍｍに変換するアダプターを旋盤で作って取り付けました。移動がしやすいように片側の足の２か所にキャスターを付けたので反対側を持ち上げることで移動が楽です。
I bought a new Table Saw. I have been using a table saw made by myself in which I installed a router ,a jig saw and a circular saw. It was very good but very heavy to move. So this time I bought a small table saw. I removed s safety cover as it was an obstacle for me when I use the saw. I put a saw dust receiver box made of a transparent plastic . And I made a sliding work support to cut small parts to make work safe. I also put two caster wheels on one side of the legs. It is very easy to move the saw. Motor sound is not noisy as I expected but power is somewhat weak.
もう一度ストレートキーを作りました。縦190mm、横55mm、高さ60mmの非常にスリムなタイプです。ベースの下に1.5mmのゴムシートをはさんだ1mmのステンレスステンレス板をはめ込みました。土台には赤いアフリカの木を使いました。とてもエレガントに見えるので、このキーを「グレース」と名付けました。これは、CWの新参者がモールス符号を練習するための良い鍵だと思います。
I made a straight key again. This is a very slim type one 190mm length, 55mm width, height 60mm. I put a 1mm stainless stainless plate sandwiching 1.5mm rubber sheet under the base. I used a red colored African wood for the base. I named this key "Grace" because it looks very elegant. I think this is a good key for the CW new comers to practice Morse code.
